GERMINATING SEEDS

Main component to keep in mind for successful germination is that the seed is looking for a constant dark, moist surrounding at about 85 F.Store the seeds in paper towel that is kept moist and in a warm area. Well heated room or on top of running appliance such as your water heater. After a couple of days (48 hours), the seeds will crack open and white root tip should appear. Once the white roots emerge, place in the growing medium (example: rock wool or jiffy pellets) approximately 1/4 inch deep. When placing the seeds in the medium, make sure the root tip is sticking down. Seeds should be planted individually as they are ready. It is important to keep medium warm and moist.
